The most common cause is the app being force-closed. Don't swipe Daybreak away in the app switcher the night before, keep your phone charging, and make sure Notifications are allowed for Daybreak in the Settings app.
That's intentional. A normal notification stays muted on silent, so Daybreak plays your alarm through the app itself to make sure it wakes you. This is the whole point of the app.
The steps mission needs Motion & Fitness access. Open the Settings app, find Daybreak, and turn on Motion & Fitness. Note that iPhone counts steps in short bursts, so the number climbs in small jumps rather than one at a time.
Swipe left on the alarm and tap Delete, or press and hold it and choose Delete.
Yes. When creating an alarm, tap Wake-up song and pick any track from your Apple Music or iTunes library. You can also choose one of the built-in tones.
