InTeleprompter is designed around scripts and recordings stored on your device.

Effective September 23, 2026 · Applies to InTeleprompter for iPhone and iPad

Overview

InTeleprompter is developed by Jaxon Arnold. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs. The developer does not operate a server that receives your scripts, camera recordings, or speech transcripts.

Scripts and settings

Scripts you write, paste, or import are stored in the app’s local storage. App preferences are stored on the device. The share extension temporarily stores content in a shared app container so that the main app can import it. The app uses iOS file protection for its saved script library.

Device backups may include app data according to your Apple device and backup settings. InTeleprompter does not provide its own cloud synchronization service.

Camera, microphone, and recordings

Camera access provides the live preview and video recording. Microphone access provides recorded audio and, when enabled, speech input for voice tracking. Finished recordings are added to your Photos library with your permission. A local copy of the latest take may remain available for in-app review; temporary recording files are also used during capture and saving.

The app requests add-only Photos access to save videos. It does not upload your recordings to the developer. Your Photos library may sync through iCloud Photos if you have enabled that Apple service.

Speech recognition

Follow my voice uses Apple’s Speech framework to match spoken words to your script. The app requires on-device recognition when the recognizer reports that it supports it. When on-device recognition is unavailable for your device or language, Apple’s speech service may process audio and recognition context, including script words used to improve recognition, on Apple’s servers.

Speech handling by Apple is subject to Apple’s policies and your device settings. InTeleprompter does not send speech transcripts to the developer or save them as a separate transcript history. You can turn off Follow my voice and use manual scrolling, or revoke speech recognition permission in Settings. Learn more from Apple’s privacy information.

Nearby remote control

If you use a second iPhone or iPad as a remote, the app uses Apple’s MultipeerConnectivity framework to discover and connect nearby devices. Device display names are used for discovery. Pairing requires approval on the prompter device, and the connection requires encryption.

The paired devices exchange control commands and prompter status, such as scrolling speed and recording state. This remote-control protocol does not transfer script text, recorded video, or microphone audio. You can disconnect the remote or revoke Local Network access in Settings.

Support messages

If you contact support, the developer receives your email address and the information you choose to send. This information is used to respond to your request and troubleshoot the issue, and is retained as needed for that purpose. Please do not send sensitive content unnecessarily. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the address below, subject to any applicable retention requirements.

These support pages are hosted by GitHub Pages. They contain no added analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. GitHub may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs when serving the site, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. Email links open your chosen email service.

Your choices and deletion

Delete scripts in the app’s Scripts library. Removing the app removes its local app data; offloading the app may retain it. Recordings saved to Photos remain there until you delete them separately. Copies in Photos, device backups, email, or other services follow those services’ settings and deletion procedures.

Permissions can be changed in Settings at any time. Denying a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the app’s features or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
